Developing lighting strategy and design philosophy in accordance with the architectural intention, considering environmental and human factors
Communication of ideas through words, images, diagrams and animations
Coordinating with other consultants and their drawings to integrate the lighting
Providing advice on colours and finishes
Specifying lighting equipment and controls that are locally available to minimise energy consumption and carbon footprint
Detailing design and documentation, including plans, sections and elevations and details for incorporation into tender and construction documentation phases
Creating electrical load and equipment schedules including estimated costing
Providing tender assistance, interviews, reports and review of alternative equipment
Providing lighting trials and mock ups as required
Coordination with electrical consultants for lighting control and circuiting
Construction assistance and site inspections
Commissioning, programming and focusing of installed lighting equipment
